What a difference a tan makes!

There was this guy who works in my company. The first time we met was one of those "knight in shining armour" moment. i was bringing a trolley of glassware for washing when I realised that I didn't have access to the facility. Then this cute guy turns up and saves the day. After that, there was always the occasional Hi's and bye's when we run into each other at the lobby or along the corridor. Since we work on different floors, there wasn't much chance for interaction. He was a hi-bye friend I suppose. I did think that he was quite cute, but well, not that stunningly cute enough such that I would throw myself at him. Till today. So today, he came by to say bye to this other guy who sits near me in the office. Seems that its his last day in Singapore, he will be going for good. And suddenly, i thought he just looked so cute. There was something about him. Something different. yes, it was a tan! He was glowing. He was radiant. he was such a sunshine boy. How cute. How arresting. I was mersmerized.

It got me thinking then, that a tan can really make a difference. Well at least to me. I recalled that a few years ago, i developed a crush on a guy only after seeing him with a tan.

i do find pale/fair skinned guys quite a turn off.

But on the other extreme, a overly tanned guy will simply wrinkle real soon, and the touch of wrinkled skin can be rather creepy. That aside, too tan just doesn't look good. Theres a huge difference between burnt and tanned. Golden boy vs chao-tar boy.
