playlists
I've decided that I need to sort my mp3 collection. That i need better playlists on my ipod.
(and no, playlists by group or album name does not make sense because u can always search under artist or album)
Currently, I have Happy Mornings, Sad Evenings and Run..

not a very ideal list. Its not sad enough. Sad evenings are those days when i want to listen to heart-wrenching songs. SOngs which makes you draw inwards into some melacholic mood. Makes you sink into the very depths of exsistance. Just simply sink. usually coldplay and some of athlete's songs works for me. but the thing is, after some time, they somehow lose their effectiveness so i have to abstain from them for a while.
there are also songs which are sad because they remind you of some sad moments in life. When perhaps, your only comfort is in music. The Scientist was the song i listened to the most when S and I broke up. Tears and Rain makes me think of P. Mr big and Eric clapton reminds me of T. Nostalgia -- Coldplay's In my place will bring me back to Berkeley. So will Our Lady of Peace's somewhere out there, Fiona Apple's Green apples.
A playlist needs to have a certain effect. the songs needs to have a common theme. transistion must be acceptable, no 1 song too jaringly obvious. I have lesser happy songs. I tend to like alternative sad songs.
