perlman
Believe it or not, I like Itzhak Perlman's music. His music simply lulls you into them, leaving you completely helpless. The first time i cam across his music was from something I downloaded during my undergrad years. After that, was a mad search on the uni's network to look for more of his stuff. And i really anjoy listening to them. Somehow, through the years, after a couple of hardisk problems etc, I lost his music -- cept for 4 of them.
Right now, i really miss some of those pieces. Especially the Schindler's list theme and another called Scent of a woman. I'm trying to listen to the sample through iTunes but the it keeps buffering. Wonder if its my network thats giving problems.
Feel totally desperate now.
Recently Steffen passed me some Swan Lake and Nutcracker. Very nice too. I mean after all, i do like Tchaikovsky. Mendelssohn and Rachmaninov are nice too.
Back to Perlman, especially when its with Yoyo ma, thats like a potent mix. Superb.
I am no expert in music. but when one has such power over you, i'm sure it means something.
